Simultaneous / Conference Interpretation
Get your message across in multiple languages. We provide the planning and organization of the language interpretation service for your specific multilingual conference or meeting needs. We offer simultaneous interpretation for international conferences in Lima, Peru or in any other country where your event will be held.
Simultaneous interpreting is necessary when there are people who speak several different languages. Interpreters sit in an isolated booth, listen to the speaker through a headset, and speak the translated message into a microphone, which is wirelessly transmitted to the headsets worn by audience members.
Because of the high intensity and exacting nature of this type of interpretation, two interpreters are usually involved for each language. Each interpreter works in 30 minute shifts. It is generally used for large conferences, seminars or meetings with high attendance and in which a lot of information needs to be accurately conveyed.
We recruit high quality interpreters who not only work well under pressure, but also come with an understanding of the subject matter and specialized terminology of your event. They will prepare ahead of time and familiarize themselves with all of the available conference literature, presentation materials, speeches, and other information.
Proven experience in:
- Simultaneous conference interpretation at Official Government bilateral, multilateral meetings and summits (Visit of Pope Francis, APEC, ASPA, UNASUR, among others)
- Simultaneous conference interpretation at international Magisterial Conferences, Symposiums training courses, International Fairs, etc
- Escort and Liaison interpretation for Business and Government Travel
- Simultaneous interpretation for Board of Directors Meetings and small group meetings
- Simultaneous interpretation for on-site technical visits (small group format at on-site visits such as workshops, factories, etc)
- Whispering interpretation for business negotiations, site visits, etc (when not more than one or two delegates speak a foreign language).
All of our interpreters are selected based upon the following criteria:
- professional competence
- delivery style
- education and interpretation training
- knowledge of the subject matter
Consecutive Interpreting is a method of translating a message from one language to another in sections. The speaker of the source language often pauses between sentences or complete thoughts and allows time for the interpreter to deliver the message in the target language. Consecutive interpreting is ideal for the following situations:
- Business meetings
- Inaugural / Closing Speeches
- Press conferences
Liaison interpretation is used to facilitate understanding between two parties that speak different languages, which could be two people, an individual and a small group, or two small groups. Therefore, the interpreter must possess a sound command of both languages.
One of the main fields of liaison interpreting is that of businesses (for other types of liaison interpreting see the section on escort interpreting). The interpreter needs to know both languages very well and is able to translate what’s been said
Escort interpreters are those who accompany a person or a delegation in different situations in which they don’t speak the same language of the speakers of the event or the people of the place they are visiting.
Our escort interpreters have excellent language command, as well as wide international experience and cultural knowledge. This allows them to act as the cultural liaison between the parties, and guarantees you that they are highly skilled and absolutely prepared to accompany you or your clients anywhere and help you and them communicate with people that speak other languages.
This type of service is ideal for informal encounters such as tours, visits, meetings, interviews, dinners, business travels, international affairs, client visits abroad, etc.
